Sandwich Shop Brings Italian Flavors to Financial District (DNAinfo)

A new sandwich shop on Nassau Street is bringing the flavors of an authentic Italian salumeria, or deli, to the Financial District.

“These are the kind of sandwiches we grew up eating in Italy,” said Antonella Nazzaro, 33, who co-owns the recently opened Pisillo Italian Panini with her husband, Carmelo, 40.

Elevated Park at Trade Center Site Comes Into View (New York Times)

The World Trade Center’s best-kept secret has finally come to light.

An architectural rendering of the proposed park, next to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church. Some details may change.
It is an elevated park, slightly larger than an acre and 25 feet above Liberty Street, that will command a panoramic view of the National September 11 Memorial when it opens to the public, probably in 2015.

The Lara on Nassau Street Will Begin Leasing In December (Wall Street Journal)

The tower at 113 Nassau Street rose with an unintentional veil of secrecy, avoiding the spotlight during construction, but the building, called the Lara, is almost ready for renters, and the developers would like for people to start paying attention. Leasing will being for the 168 units in December, with prices starting at $2,700/month for studios and going up to $6,500/month for two-bedrooms.
